Who is Sonia Montecino?

Anthropology field is limited in some areas.  Not all the people become prominent professional in his own specialty or in anthropology in general. For this reason I want to talk about Sonia Montecino an expert professional.
She is an anthropologist and writer of Chile. She was born in 1954. She studied anthropology at the” University of Chile” and did a degree of doctor in anthropology in the university of Leiden, Holland.

Sonia is characterized for working different topics such as anthropology, literature, pedagogy and fieldwork. She is famous by his involvement in gender study. She publicated many book, but I want emphasize one in particular: “Madres y Huachos: alegorías de la identidad” this is maybe her most famous essay.

She is probably one of the most important women in the field of anthropology and in my view a great contribution in Chile, for this I really admire to Sonia Montecino and hope that she can continue publish his work, because the people should live a great experience about important things of the life.
